Contract with the building engineers signed
Yesterday the contract with building engineers responsible for the new gym and its facilities was signed and work began on preparing the land. The Sumalee Boxing Gym will feature a traditional Muay Thai Gym which initially will have two boxing rings. This facility should be completed and ready for use towards the middle of October. Other facilities on the site will include: nine fully equipped rooms with en-suite; clothes washing/washing up area; swimming pool and sun terrace; running track; public toilets/showers; cooking/communal area; shop; and office.
Sumalee Boxing Gym aims to take the Muay Thai training experience up to another level by offering, to those students who want it, a truly unique Thai cultural experience. Some of our trainers are excellent cooks and will be happy to take students to the market to buy food and show them how to cook it in true Thai style. Some of our English speaking staff speak very good Thai and can give an introduction to the Thai language. Since there are so many things to do and see in the area, we feel it would be a shame for our students not to have the opportunity to seeing them. If you want to go out and about, we will provide the means for you to do so every day.
