Joe Le Maire claims decision victory at Lion Fighting Championships 6
Late last month Joe Le Maire appeared on ‘Lion Fighting Championships 6 – BATTLEGROUND’, an up-and-coming British promotion showcasing some of the best up and coming mixed martial artists in the UK and Europe. The young fighter out of Unit 1 Gym in Bury-St-Edmunds faced Mace Ruegg (House of Pain Gym) in a caged Straw Weight K1 bout. Mace, a WKMA British K1 Champion well known in the UK scene for his acrobatic techniques, looked to be a great match up for Joe who favours a more Thai style.

Both corners showed a great array of techniques over 3 rounds of non-stop action, with Joe being declared the winner by unanimous decision. Joe will be getting as many fights under his belt as he can before relocating to Phuket early next year as a Sumalee sponsored Muay Thai fighter. You can watch his next fight at ‘Stand And Bang- Final’ in a K1 48kg Super 4 K1 tournament , 27th Feb 2016.
